No Card, No Start and application changes
- You need a blue card before you start work.
- New ways to apply.
- Renew before your card expires to keep working.
Changes for organisations
- There are new obligations relating to sighting ID, linking card holders and employing restricted person(s).
- You can get access to a portal to help you keep track of your blue card holders.
Police information and restricted persons
- Individuals need to tell us immediately if their police information changes.
- Restricted persons cannot rely on an exemption to work with kids.
Frequency test and exemption cards
- If you work with kids for not more than 7 days in a calendar year, you may not need a blue card.
- Exemption cards expire after 3 years.
